WHAT'S THIS TREK ALL ABOUT THEN ?

The high atlas mountains in North Africa are to simply put it .... STUNNING, A long mountain range that separates the Atlantic Coast with the Sahara desert. There are a number of 4000 meter peaks , the Highest being Jebel Toubkal at 4067 meters the whole area has a real alpine feel to it . The High Atlas mountains are very accessible from the UK, Indeed I can arrive at the base of some of them quicker than I can get to some part of Scotland . The whole aim of the week is to ascend Mont Toubkal, immerse ourselves in the traditional Berber and Moroccan culture and most importantly have an amazing experience.

Trek itinerary

Once everyone has arrived and settled you will received a briefing from the leader before heading for a traditional evening meal

Day 3 -

This is it today climb Mount Toubkal- North Africa's highest peak . After an early breakfast we set off in the dark up the zig zaging trail above the hut. As we continue up the trail the views will be come more and more impressive as we watch the sun slowly creeping up over the mountain tops before we know it we are standing on the summit - we've done it . there is plenty of time to take in the breath taking views and of course the all important summit picture. From the summit we will head back down the way we came back to hut where we will relax and have lunch before starting the walk back down the valley to Imlil where our transfer back to Marrakesh will be waiting . After checking at our hotel we will be able to relax and unwind in the swimming pool before heading out for a lovely evening at a local traditional resturant .

 Day 2 -

After Breakfast we take the short transfer from the city to Imlil before start our trek to the Nelther Hut . We start trekking along a trail that runs next to a river before it starts to climb gradually to our base camp hut, The trail winds it way up below huge Moroccan mountain tops and places of worship this no death march and we encourage people to take there time and enjoy the walk . Once at the hut its time to get settled, eat and watch the sun go down. The hut is  a great placre to share story's and meet other trekkers .

Day 4

Once we have all eaten our breakfast there will be a single times transfer back to the air port from here its time to say our good byes and reflect on an amazing weekend
