The Bronze National Navigation award scheme is a practical hands on award. Aimed at those who are have very little or no navigational experience or might be stepping in to outdoors for the first time .
The NNAS Bronze award is accredited by the Scottish credit and qualification ( SCQF ) at level 4 and worth 2 SCQF points are awarded on completion of the award.
This two day course will cover the basics of navigation and have you using a map and compass in no time. The aims of the NNAS Bronze award is " to be able to plan and follow routes in the country side using paths and tracks .
Through out the course your NNAS tutor will work closely with you to develop and increase your understanding of navigation and how to stay safe in the UK mountains . Our course are held in either the Lake District or Yorkshire dales with a key emphasis on quality learning rather than cover massive distances. At the end of day day two there is a short assessment.

Who is its suitable for ?
This course is a great "zero - mountaineer" course if you've not done any mountain navigation before but are wanting to get out and explore confidently .
What do I need ?
Enough cloths to keep warm and dry in all weathers

Map and compass
Note book and pen
