The 1-day Emergency First Aid At work course is perfect for the business that need to have a nominated first aider within there business. The course meets the requirements for the national standards outlined by Health safety ( First Aid ) regulations 1981.

This course is also a great way to top up if you’ve not done a First Aid course in some time.

All our dates are bookable and based from Kendal, Lake District, Close to the M6 and include tea and Coffee. 

Course content

Over the duration of the 1 day / 8 hours, we cover all the key aspect of Emergency First Aid At work. This will include

  • Assessing vital signs
    Brain Activity, Breathing & Circulation
  • Approaching and assessing a casualty
    The A.B.C. of first aid
  • Recognising & treating medical emergencies
    Heart attack, angina, strokes & choking
  • Basic Life Support & defibrillators
    Performing CPR, recognising cardiac arrest & using an AED (defibrillator)
  • Treating immediately life threatening conditions
    Bleeding, burns, scalds & shock
  • Treating immediately life-threatening conditions
    Bleeding, burns, scalds & shock
  • Taking action to prevent further deterioration
    Ensuring a safe airway, stabilising, bandaging & immobilising
  • Current regulations, record keeping & accident reporting
  • Common minor injuries
    Cuts, grazes, eye injury & soft tissue damage

The course is fully regulated and monitored by ofqul and comes valid for three years with a certificate.


Open course option: £90 per person – Our most popular way of doing this course. Due to the nature of this course, we cap the group sizes to 10 people.

Private training option: £60 per person – Got a group of friends or colleagues that need to do the training as well? If your group size is  8 + and you want a certain date then a private booking is 100% the best option.
