2 DAY INDOOR TO OUTDOOR ROCK CLIMBING COURSE IN THE LAKE DISTRICT

This course will develop on what you already know from climbing indoors and help you to make that transition to outsdoors climbing. Over the 2 days you will learn the essential skills to be able to head outside and climb on real rock.

During the course we will focus on seconding routes, placing , using and removing climbing equipment, creating bottom rope anchors, personal abseiling and interpreting the guide book. By the end of the of the 2 days you will be confident in your partners ability to set up the correct rope system to enable you to access the crag and climb the routes of your choice.

COURSE OUTLINE

Learning to climb outdoors can be an amazing experience but equally quite scary. With our indoor to outdoors climbing course this gives you the chance to climb outside on a variety of rock and learn how to do it on your own safely and correctly.

WHAT DO I NEED ?

  • Rock climbing shoes
  • Harness
  • Helmet

All other equipment can be provided however if you own your own rack bring that along as that’s what you will be using when the course is over.

DURING THE COURSE YOUR COVER:

  • Setting up bottom rope anchors
  • Placing and removing protection correctly
  • Using climbing protection correctly
  • Interpreting the guide book
  • Plenty of climbing !!!

The course fee includes full instruction from a qualified and experienced Mountaineering instructor.

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?

Any with some indoor climbing experience or has done an outdoor taster session.
